What is the presentation about?

Imagine you have an AI-based system that can not only think and plan autonomously in order to carry out tasks (Agentic AI), but is also capable of purposefully retrieving and processing the information and data required to perform those tasks from a wide variety of sources (Retrieval-augmented Generation). Welcome to the wonderland of Agentic RAG. Whether in customer support, healthcare, education, business intelligence, or scientific research—the use cases seem limitless!

This session provides insight into the structure and functioning of Agentic RAGs. Using concrete, practical examples, a wide range of application scenarios will be presented, and the advantages and disadvantages of Agentic RAG compared to traditional RAG will be discussed. A concluding practical check shows which additional aspects are suitable for productive deployment.
